Droopys Lorenzo likely to stand first in Standard (Duplicated) – Hove Preview
Droopys Lorenzo is going to carry the day at Hove racecourse where he will run in the Coral.Co.Uk Standard (Duplicated) on Thursday night, March 29.
The high-profile Open Race over 515m Flat distance will be a mammoth challenge for D. Childs-trained black dog who has been performing nicely since the dawn of the calendar year.
Containing £150 in purse, the contest will commence at 22:11 (GMT). The hot favourite hound is all set to compete against Snowdon Flyer, Jazz Apollo, Thank Will, Droopys Beano and Burwood Freddie.
Droopys Lorenzo is heading the betting market as the bookmakers are confidently staking their money on him.
The two-year-old young runner bagged a coupled of consecutive victories during February 2012. After finishing first by 3-length margin in a race on March 4, the dashing dog moved forward to clinch top spot in his last outing on March 21.
Since making his debut in June 2011, the son of Slip The Lark out of Droopys Mo has been delivering impressive performances.
At the moment, the talented runner is awash with momentum and fighting spirit which will help him thrive in tonight’s mega marathon. His chances to finish first are more than 90 percent provided he manages to sustain his stamina.
Among the other hounds, Jazz Apollo and Droopys Beano look to be strong enough and each of them can deny triumph to the favourite fighter.
Jazz Apollo won four races in a row during October-November 2011. M. Wallis’ brindle dog went on to bag two victories in the month of December. The veteran hound bagged two victories coupled with two runner-up ranks from February 14 to March 2, 2012.
Droopys Beano accomplished a fabulous hat-trick during October 2011. The S. Cahill-trained black dog earned three runner-up positions in a row in the first month of the calendar year. He finished first by a big margin of 8 ¾ lengths on February 13.
In this situation, the race is expected to be packed with sensation and twists. Success will be a herculean task for Droopys Lorenzo. Good luck to him.
