Droopys Lorenzo stole the show with his swift chase in the Coral On TV Maiden Trophy's Heat 2
Three heats were held at the Romford race track in the Coral On TV Maiden Trophy. Among the three winners there was one hound in the pack of dogs who not only won the purse for his trainer, but was lucky enough to be declared as the fastest hound of the
show.
The prize winner of the Coral On TV Maiden Trophy's Heat 2, Droopys Lorenzo, covered the 400 meter distance in 24 minutes and 27 seconds.
After giving a hit in the race, the one-year-old hound caught everyone’s eyes, because this victory also helped him break his maiden.
Trainer D Child’s black dog started his chase from trap 3 and was quick from the beginning of the race.
As the trap was opened, the young hound raced as fast as he could and set the track on fire.
He was leading his five contenders from the start till the end of the race.
The son of Slip the Lark out of Droopys Mo, Droopys Lorenzo proved himself as a real go getter when he crossed the wire by defeating rest of the log.
D Child’s champ was the only young dog among his competitors. His victory was quite far-fetched, but the star of the Coral On TV Maiden Trophy proved that in greyhound racing, speed is the only factor which is important.
Trainer B D O’sullivan, who considered Crayford race track as the lucky one for his hound, Springwood Maeve, changed his mind when the two-year-old won the purse at Romford.
The brindle dog was the prize winner of the Coral On TV Maiden Trophy's Heat 1.
He ran really well when his trap 6 opened, but when he reached the middle of the race, tragically he got bumped in.
Although the situation got worse for the young dog, he managed really well to get back to his form and give a superb hit in the race.
Ballymac Maeve’s son out of Rusheen County, Springwood Maeve reached the finish line in 24 minutes and 40 seconds.
The last heat of the show declared the two-year-old Murlens Houdini as the winner of Coral On TV Maiden Trophy's Heat 3.
After giving numerous hits in the Wimbledon race track, the blue dog won the purse for trainer P M Donovan in Romford.
The two-year-old hound had to face tough circumstances during the race, as he he got bumped in soon after starting his chase from trap 6.
Winning the race became a hassle for the young hound and to maintain his previous position he had to chase as fast as he could, which he did and gave a hit by covering the distance in 24 minutes and 40 seconds.
Out of the total prize of £300 the lucky victorious hounds won a purse of £150 each.
