Droopys Quincy, a leading contender in Childrens Chase at Romford
Despite the fact that the bookmakers have not given him the highest odds, it is a very hard decision to overlook Droopys Quincy’s chances in the Childrens Chase at Romford on Friday, April 12, 2013.
The Gymcrack semi finalist knows how to make a winning move. He was a little unlucky on his previous two ventures though. After missing the gold only by a few lengths at the end of last month, he failed to add the finishing touch, and ended up third last
time out.
Prior to that however, the black dog was extremely impressive. On March 14th, he was seen on the winning podium at Hove. In a 285 metres contest, S. Cahill’s charge railed nicely to lead at the very first bend.
Making no mistake afterwards, the dashing hound captured the first position by 1¾ lengths. The draw is a massive plus for him today. Standing in the red box, the son of Central City has every chance of taking an advantage early in the race.
And if he manages to put pressure on the rivals at the start, no force will be able to stop him from bagging the first prize of 175 pounds. The race is due to get started at 19:46 GMT. Among his rivals are: Bonamassa Rocks, Sion Caviar, Do It Ruso, Sigma
Five, and Droopys Causeway.
Sigma Five worked his way up the grades very quickly. Although the previous two victories were at the lower level, it is hard to ignore his winning momentum. We believe that the black dog will prove a threat to the big guns, provided he handles the pressure
well.
Bonamassa Rocks, who is carrying the best odds of 7 to 4, performs very well often, especially when he sees daylight. The black dog should not be judged on his recent journey, when finishing fifth. But it is tough to expect a winning move straight after
a terrible loss.
Do It Ruso did nothing special on his debut. However, he has moved well in a trial thereafter. Sion Caviar made it third time lucky, and there could be more to come from his side. Good luck to all the contestants.
