Droopys Robles – Young greyhound with a bright future
Droopys Robles is definitely one of the greyhounds to watch out for in the future, as he has impressed one and all with his performances during the 2012 season. He has made his team proud on numerous occasions and will be a force to reckon with in the years
to come.
Like most of the other runners, Droopys Robles also started off his career with a few training sessions. He made his first appearance in January this year and showed his class to everyone with a solid run over 480 metres in a T3 event.
After settling in, the young hound was tested in a Grade OR contest, which was a big challenge for him. He was new to the business and there was a lot of pressure on him to deliver the goods straight away at the highest level.
However, he did not disappoint his team and gave a spirited performance in the end. He was priced 5 to 2 for that race and entered from trap number three. The position was not a very good one for him, which cost him a chance of attacking from the start.
Despite that, the talented runner did not panic at all and kept on pushing hard until the end of the race. He had some time to recover, as the overall distance to cover was 515 metres.
The P. Donovan’s trainee missed out on a victory by just a short head distance, but his team would have been proud of him. This performance gave him immense confidence and he took part in a couple of more events in this class.
In his very next OR outing, the black dog took a comfortably victory by almost four lengths. He was declared as the outright favourite to succeed back then and did not disappoint his fans at all. He started from trap number one, which was a much better position
and did not allow his opponents to come anywhere closer in the end.
Since then, Droopys Robles has been consistently challenging his rivals at the highest level and he has earned a lot of respect. He will be looking to end the season on a high with a few more solid performances before coming out with all guns blazing next
year.
