Isnt it time that the drop goal in rugby union was given 1 point instead of 3 as in League?

  1. if its one point of what use will it be? besides you rarely see more than one drop goal in a match

  2. No way dude!! If it was dropped to a single point it becomes useless, it's great to know that one kick can win you a game adding to the tension. Example england winning the world cup. Edinburgh beating Leinster in the cup last weekend we won by a point due to an 80th minute drop goal, keep the 3 and just get rid of league it's c**p!

  3. As has been mentioned, drop goals attempts are rare and successful drop goals even harder to come by. The thing with the drop goal is that in the event you miss the attempt, you're pretty much giving possession away and quite conceivably favourable field advantage. 3 points is just enough bait to make players think about it (in that split second)..1 point won't make it worth the effort.

  4. I agree !

  5. No, because Rugby Union and Rugby League are different versions of rugby, why would you want to make them more similar.

Rugby Union is better, end of story.

  6. totally agree with you

    i love rugby league

1 point makes much more sense to me

  7. No, I like to see drop goals and find you do not see enough of them, you would see less of them if the points were lower!

  8. But then England will never win again;-)
