  1. JC,

Your Cybershot may not be a goner yet. First, have faith. Secondly, put the camera somewhere DRY but not hot. Do NOT blow-dry the unit unless you have a cool setting. You want to put the camera somewhere as dry as possible for several DAYS. 5 days is optimum. I would suggest hanging it in a closet, not far from the bulb on the ceiling, but not too close. The warmth will lightly warm the case but will do no damage to it. Having it hang from a cord, strap, etc will allow any excess water or mositure to drip out thanks to gravity and the light warmth can add in internal evaporation.

Aside from hanging it like this, I would also blow-dry unit with a COOL setting twice daily. Try powering the unit up every 2 days. I would say give it a week max before deciding what else to do... Good luck and hope everything goes well!

  2. Awww man that sucks! Bring it to a local photography professional and ask them. Usually it should work if you dry the battery and stuff out.
