  1. billcarr has a good point, i'd forgotten about that.  Also, if that's not it,  I'd guess it's more likely that a wire has gone loose or some connection isn't being made.  Use a voltmeter to check batt volts, but check it while you're trying to crank --this will take 2 people usually.  Then, if the batt volts is good, check the volts at the starter while you are cranking...this voltage will be a little lower, but still needs to be enough to turn the engine.

And don't forget, a bike has several 'safety' switches....one on the kickstand and one on the clutch handle to name two that often cause problems.  Make sure they are both operating properly so the right permissive signal gets to the TCI unit.

  2. There is a reset switch on many new bikes that prevents ignition after a collision. I'm not much help but directions/ location  should be in the owners manual. Or call the dealer and ask them.

  3. Agree with Joe B.

Add that if I were in transit of steep gravel surfaced hill with Suzuki

not only would I'd want to carry "V-Stron" on my back but it would

likely get dropped as did same machine of reader.  Sometimes the

person or machine isn't right for a selected ride.  Turning around is

a recommended method to avoid turn over problems.  That and not

using faux knobbies retailed as having an 'aggressive' style.

  4. check the battery and wire to it

  5. the V Stroms have a tip over switch

you have to remove the switch and shake it until it resets

its located under the seat on the left side of the frame
