Question:

Dropped my bike, broke the gear shifter. How do i fix it and how much might it costs?

Got a '06 katana 750....I know they don't make em ne more so any suggestions would be helpful. THX

  1. The parts for any bike (especially one as new as '06) are always available either from the Mfr website or any internet store specializing in bikes/motorcycles. Any local store can also order one and you can go there and have them install a clutch lever or whatever that's broken.

    I recently replaced mine which is a Kawasaki one and cost me about $20 for the part and another $20 for labor. The store ordered it directly.


  2. You can go to any motorcycle shop and order a "aftermarket" lever it's cheaper(about $15 to $25) and does the same thing as original lever that came on the bike.

  3. Depends on the brake and the resources you have.

    If you have fabrication experience or know someone build it.

    I would however recommend just ordering the parts you need and replace them.

    As far as cost....Depends on the extent of the parts you need. This question is very difficult to answer with out more information namely a visual inspection.
