we have to drop an egg from about 5 feet in science with a milk jug around it and whatever you want besides parachutes and balloons in the middle.

idea;;wil it work??

shock absorbers (from my shoes) on the bottem and then cotton and bubble wrap. but in the middle is a jar of jello and thats where ill put the egg (in the jello). but the cotton and shock absorbers will hold the jar in the middle

do you think this will work? suggestions?

  1. just put the cotton inside the jug first and when it's half full put in the egg, the finish putting in the cotton

  2. May i suggest instead of cotton balls, try mashmellows. I used them and it survived 30 feet.

  3. It definitely sounds like it will stabilize the egg enough for a  fall of only 5 feet. The jello is an excellent idea ..

  4. I've heard that orientating an egg in a certain way will allow it to fall without breaking onto some surfaces (probably not concrete though).

    I found some suggestions here:

Some are sensible, others... not so.
