I have a 2000rms hifonics brutus amp. Under the hood on hard hitting songs my voltage drops to 12.6 at the lowest... How hard is this going on my alternator? Can i turn the settings up on my amp? There only like half way? I have a redtop optima battery and at ngiht with my head lights on my lights barely dim as of now. I dont want to blow my alternator though so i just want to know if i turn the settings up on my amp and push the subs harder am i going to blow my alternator? As i said right now though the lowest i have gotten is 12.6 under the hood for voltage and that is very breife not constant.

  1. depends on the alternator but most of them can handle this overload easily. They only wont output more power.
