Question:

Drowning Baby Dream?

I keep having dreams, all very different with one thing the same. A drowning baby...usually in a bathtub. It will usually be a situation where I am caring for a child and someone or something distracts me just long enough for the child to slip under the surface of the water and begin to drown. I panic and grab the baby up and it begins to choke up water and usually is just fine afterwards but I am always left extremely shaken.

I don't have any children but am the oldest of 8 siblings and have always cared for kids...

Any Ideas on what these dreams are about?

  1. maybe you are worried about babies too much...?

  2. Babies in dreams nearly always symbolise a new phase of life, new project, new job, new idea, new path you would like to go down - basically something in your mind that will need nuturing to bring to fruition.  As the baby in your dream keeps drowning I'd say your subconscious is SCREAMING at you to realise this.  Try to remember what the someone or something is that keeps distracting you - it may be a certain person or certain situation that's holding you back.  Or if those things are never consistent maybe it's you that's holding yourself back.  It's time to move forward and be focusing on something important and you really should be doing it!!!

  3. it the pressure of caring for all those kids, and yet you do not  have a life of your own and you want freedom to enjoy your life or wanted freedom

  4. Dont worry it is just your mind messing with your try to think of something else when you go to sleep. If it happens over and over dont worry since you love kids it wont happed.

  5. Dream Dictionary:

Babies:In dreams, babies represent your feelings, such as possesiveness, joy, curiosity,, responding to the world without words, innocent love, infant trauma, vunerability, and being cared for.

Drowning: worrying about someones health or well-being, having the suggestion of death or breakdown

Bathing: Relaxation, cleansing, wanting to be rid of guilt. Such cleansing could depict a change of heart or forgiveness where old feelings are washed away.

  6. You should read The Dream Game by Ann Faraday, it can teach you to easily interpret your own dreams. It's not wise to depend on the interpretations of others since they aren't you and your dreams depend solely on how you perceive things.
