Drug Testing? Urine tests? Girls -n- doctors only!?

We are doing urine drug testing for athletics at my school and it is mandatory and i think i might be on my period when they do the testing. Will it be okay to still do the urine test and will it affect the results??? P>S> i dont do drugs

I think it will be ok. But I think I would find a way to tell them, in case the test can be made ineffective, fi any trace amount of blood gets into the cup. And they might think you had blood in your urine and have an infection of some kind. You don't want them to worry over nothing.

You'll get some blood cells in your urine, but that won't affect the drug testing component.

Urinalysis should not be performed while a woman is menstruating or having a vaginal discharge. A woman who must have a urinalysis while she has a vaginal discharge or is having her period should insert a fresh tampon before beginning the test. She should also hold a piece of clean material over the entrance to her v****a to avoid contaminating the specimen.
