Drug test results?????

I took a 5 panel drug test for my employment. I currently take prescribed Oxycodone and hydrocodone and I tested positive for codeine but the lab tech is saying I failed because of codeine . My pharmacist say absolutely I will test positive for codeine but the lab tech says no. What is the truth. This is my job and I can't get a right answer.

well if your prescribed both meds legally they both have codine in them so i would give my employer a written statement from the doctor saying that it is legal for you to have that in your system and the job can NOT hold that against you

You test positive for opiates with both meds, not codiene specifically.  But even if you did test positive for codiene specifically, hydrocodone has a derivative of codiene in it.

In this case, all you should have to do is turn in proof of your scripts and the matter be cleared.

If they are giving you a hard time, you need to fight it.  Unfortunatly, I dont know how to fight it.
