Drugs/Airport/Airplane?

Question

I was wondering if I could bring aboard Salvia Divinorum.

Would I get arrested?

Or can I just keep it in my pocket, without security noticing?

Or should I have it in my check luggage OR carry on...which is safest?

Please don't answer if you dont know what Salvia Divinorum is.

It's not really a illegal drug, but it looks somewhat like marijuana.

It's a domestic flight from LAX, California to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

If it's not an illegal substance you should be able to take it either in your carry-on or checked bag, but if it's not clearly labled I wouldn't be surprised if you were questioned about it,  and it may be a difficult substance to explain. I'd put it in your check-in baggage, it may save you a lot of trouble at the security checkpoint.
