Drugs and their value?

So I am watching a documentary called "Ganja Queen". I am going to spare the details, but basically, a girl is accused of trying to traffic 10 pounds of marijuana in Bali, which has a death sentence.

So my question is how much US dollars, is 10 pounds of marijuana worth?

uh, yeah. i don't know where most of these people are getting their numbers from. i'm from the south and this is how it usually goes:

an ounce of some decent green is gonna run you around $90-$120. can be as cheap as $70 for the shake out the bottom of the bag when the dope man's low, or $200+ for some kill. 16 ounces in a pound = $1600/pound, ten pounds would be $16,000. again like i said before i don't know what's up with these other answers--but where i'm from the more you buy the cheaper it gets, i've gotten quarter pounds for $500 before, so yeah. that's just some reggie though.. i'd like to think that if anyone is buying 10 pounds of anything it's that lime green XD

Alright.... I think some people are getting their ounces and pounds confused so I am going to try to break it down for you.

A typical bag of good pot is $50 for a an 1/8 oz, more for "name brand" less for "schwag" but $50 is a good estimate of "street value."

That makes an oz. worth $400 on the street.  

There are 16 ounces in a pound so by street value a pound of pot is worth $6,400.

Of course no drug dealer pays that much... they would pay in the neighborhood of $3,000 for that pound... and would stand to make about that much in profit as well if they are not just another middle man.

Bottom line is that the 10 lbs that she was smuggling would have a "street value" of about $64,000.... but an actual value (as far as what she might have made herself on that 10 lbs.) would be considerably less that.

It depends on how you sell it. Police usually break it down to the highest street value. However if you were to purchase 10 pounds in quantity it would sell for around 20 to $25,000 for real high quality stuff, or $150 an ounce which can bring about $400 an ounce. or $1,200 a QP which is $48,000. if you sold it in eighters (1/8 ounce or 3.5 grams packs) you could get as much as $80 per pack which has a street value of $128,000 total. Most dealers who buy 10 lbs quantities sell by the QP and just try to double their money.

This guy below me might live in an area where it is a little cheaper than Detroit (it does vary from state to state and city to city. Price will also go way up if the area turns dry.

By the way, I used to traffic and can tell from experience that this girl is as guitly as sin. I saw the film on HBO. Also the part where they say that they brought down the baggage handlers at the airport in Ausi is false.

Depend on where you buy some states varies. It also depends on who you get it form, directly from Mexico $150 to $200 bucks once it hits the states price goes up for shipping and handling. So on the street if your got it form somebody that got it form somebody etc. etc. Everyone adds 50 to 100 per pound depending on how many hands it went thought. Your looking at around $700 and in Wisconsin $1000.
