Drugs raid..?

the police have done a drugs raid on a house in Bolton..

it was the wrong house.. poor woman in her 50s, i'll bet she was terrified..

That must have really scared her and she is lucky to have lived to tell the tale. Some drub bust can go wrong, so at least she is still here and still kicking.

When they say an old lady in the house, couldn't the police realise that they might have a mix up.

And the police needs our support. For every wrong thing they do, they do a 100 well done.

Law enforcement is NOT an error free job.

People have to understand that.

And raids are effective.

Poor woman, she must have got a h**l of a fright.  I know I would if it had been my house and I'm older than her.

BUT....

Mistakes do happen and it is such an easy mistake to make.  The numbers might have been transposed, or mis-heard, or it could have been a typist's error, or an error by someone in the court on the search warrant.  The police have publicly admitted the mistake and apologised and are doing everything they can to put it right.

Hundreds of searches are carried out every week across the country, probably tens of thousands every year........  and we hear of ONE.    The police are not perfect, they're human just like you and me, and humans make mistakes.  Can you honestly say you've NEVER made a mistake at work?

I can't believe the police are so stupid.

This smells more of a deliberate mistake than a genuine error.

All the dealers in that area now know the police are watching them so will move or become more covert.

To me it looks like a back hander has been dropped.

So I would be looking to weed out the corrupt officers to be honest.

Before the police go in they have photo's of the house, of the door, of the  dealers etc - so call me cynical but there is definitely something fishy in this!

They did that to one of my mum's neighbours too, the couple were asleep in bed and it should have been next door.

I dread it happening to me as my next door neighbour is a dealer.

They said they will pay to have the damage repaired but I think she should sue them because of the trauma & fear she must have felt. She probably jumps at every little noise now.

Surely, they should have been checking their facts before they just burst into a house like that. It is a good thing she wasn't an elderly person with a bad heart, it could have killed them.
