  1. Drunken boxing doesn't have many schools outside if China, California may have some schools, but your more likely to find it in China.

  2. While I was in Hong Kong, I saw a few drunken stylists fight and the only time I saw one come out on top was when he was fighting another drunken stylist! There is some good film of a drunken kung fu fighter vs a kyokushin karate guy on youtube which tends to tell the story in a similar fashion.

If you can find a wu-shu school or somewhere teaching Northern Shaolin you may find somewhere to study it. Other than that, one option is to telephone around the Hap-Ki-Do teachers within travelling distance and ask if they will teach it privately. Theoretically, if you are a private student then you can ask them to teach you what you want rather than what they want. To be honest, didn't even know there was drunken hap-ki-do! You sure you didn't see an instructor after a Christmas party? :)

Seriously, hope you find what you need

  3. Spin around and around in one spot in circles ( fast not slow ) using your tippy toes for about 20 seconds or so.  Then have at a small ( medicine ball sized ) double end bag and maintain your focus through the dizziness.  This is practiced by quite a few MMA practitioners as stupid as this training technique may sound.  It's highly effective for allowing balance even after you've been punched into oblivion during full contact competition.  It'll take quite a few months to get to a point where you're comfortable being dizzy and throwing punches after a few weeks of practice you should begin to feel the difference even while praticing this training technique.  I wouldn't more than three or four of those "spinning in place" things per day though they'll give you one h**l of a headache after too many.  I'd have advil handy.  There are permanent side effects to this technique as well.  From time to time short periods of dizziness may hit you for no reason at all after practicing this training technique for a long period of time.  You'll be good enough by then though that you'll be able to walk a straight line side effects or not.  The entire point to this technique is to feel the dizziness and not be effected by it.  You will still feel the dizziness though, but not in the way normal peple do they'd fall over as to where you'll be able to walk, jump, stand in place, kick and punch. This entire technique simulates being "Punch Drunk" hence "Druken Boxing"

  4. try drinking a pint of whiskey and working out.
