Drum Corps International Advice

Question

I wish to try out for a Drum Corp this November. What I would like to know is which Corps I should try for. I have been a Cavaliers fan for awhile now, but I'm not sure if I could stand to go without women that long. (not trying to sound perverted or anything.) I have been looking into Phantom regiment who are equally as close to me as the cavaliers. Can someone give me some advice?

the best respected ones are Blue Devils, Cavaliers, Phantom Regiment, and Carolina Crown. But depending on how serious/hardcore/good you are, these may not be your best bet, at least for your first time. Often there are more local Corps (like in FL, Teal Sound) that are decent and easier to get into, still good, and most likely cheaper.

I'm not a huge DCI dork, but heres what I've heard: Crown is known for music, Cavies for drill, BD more for drill, and Phantom more for music.

personally, I would probably go with Phantom. Their show this year was AMAZING! youtube it if you havent. the guard was phenominal.
