Drum help please!?

well i have my drums

but i never replaced the first drumheads

because i'm not using them freely

i have the mufflers on always and practice with those

no need to change heads until i move them to a place where i can play freely while not bothering anyone

so i dunno what is the potential of my set

sound wise that is

the only head i changed was the one on my snare drum With a Remo coated controlled sound drum head

very good sound

if you place some good drumheads on

if it is suitable for live purposes

read many reviews

they all say it is a great set for beginner to intermidiate drummer

and that they can be used great for lives also

but i want opinion too

because he's not fishing anyone to be his customer

can a pearl export series drum kit used for live purposes if the heads are changed?

  1. it's all about the sound. it doesn't matter what anyone tells you. if you like a good deep sound, then that's what you want on stage. A beginner drum set may be made of a cheaper and less acoustic wood, but as long as the sound is good to you and your band you should be fine. Good heads are a must, but again pick those based on sound. Cymbals are a big deal to. Look for a cymbal that sounds the way you like. Make sure to hear a cymbal before you buy it. No two cymbals are alike. A nice drumset made out of the right materials will sound great in any situation. But then again the example my drum teacher used was lars ulrich. He had a deal with one brand, so he used them on stage, but recorded with a different brand. I'm not a metallica fan so i don't know the brands. I am pretty sure one was pearl though. If you like the sound you should be fine either way though.
