Drumcrow Jet favourite for the Doncaster Bookmakers Puppy Stakes
Drumcrow Jet has won decent odds for the Doncaster Bookmakers Puppy Stakes at Doncaster in England on Monday, April 9, 2012. The triumphant greyhound will be awarded with a cash prize of £150.
The participants will have to cover an overall distance of 483 metres in the Grade OR event, which is scheduled to start at 13:00 GMT. The entries confirmed for the event are as follows: Drumcrow Jet, Anfi Fantasy, Stoneys Rocket, Tybar Ellie, Barnish
Phil and Looksliketina.
The bookmakers have full confidence in the abilities of Drumcrow Jet, who has been delivering some decent results over the past many weeks. He seems to be in a nice flow right now and the punters will be placing maximum number of bets in his favour
today.
D. Talbot’s trained runner does not have any experience of the conditions at Doncaster, but he is a quality runner and is expected to familiarise with the track very quickly. He has been taking part in some trial events recently and the performances
have been more than satisfactory.
The blue dog finished sixth in his most recent OR race. He had a starting price of 10 to 1 back then and was unable to challenge the front runners. Still, he is expected to bounce back strongly today.
Drumcrow Jet is the son of Killahan Phanter out of Drumcrow Nicola and was born in May 2010.
On the other hand, Anfi Fantasy has the potential to spoil the part for today’s favourite hound. He has been running regularly in this class and will cause a few problems for the rest of the participants.
E. Wright’s trained hound finished runner up in his most recent race, which means that he is in decent rhythm at the moment. However, he will need a much better effort to fight for victory today.
The white and black dog is the son of Premier Fantasy out of Anfi Pearl and was born in July 2010.
Other than the top two favourites, Stoneys Rocket will also be the one to watch out for, as he is quite capable of winning races. However, Drumcrow Jet appears to be unstoppable right now and the rest of the runners will struggle to match him.
