Drumpellier likely to prevail in Watch Racing UK On Sky 432 Handicap (Div I)
Drumpellier is expected to win the Watch Racing UK On Sky 432 Handicap (Div I) at Carlisle in England on Monday, June 18, 2012. A cash prize of £1,704 will be awarded to the winner of the class-6 event.
The going will be soft in the 5 furlong 193 yard event, which is scheduled to start at 14:45 GMT. A total of 10 runners will be seen in action and their names are as follows: Pitkin, Drumpellier, Hellbender, Soopacal, Cross Of Lorraine, Red Scintilla, True
Bond, Andrasta, Spoken Words and Dolly Royal.
Looking at the track conditions, the best chances of victory appear to be with Drumpellier. Although she has been unable to deliver a winning run for quite some time, she has a solid chance of breaking the shackles. Her performances in recent times have
been good, which will encourage the punters to place a lot of bets on her.
The five-year-old mare has participated in 34 events, winning just a couple of them. Her strike rate is not good, which indicates that she is not a consistent performer. However, she has secured the runner up spot thrice whereas finished third on a two occasions,
which proves her ability to fight at the front.
In her most recent run, the Simon West’s trainee delivered a very good result. She finished runner up in it by just a head distance and a similar run would definitely put her in contention of a victory.
Drumpellier was not rated favourite by the bookies last time around, but she has got better odds today. She will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Daniel Tudhope, who has won quite a few races at this level. However, his strike rate is not good, which will
discourage the punters to place bets on him.
On the other hand, Pitkin has won the confidence of the bookies because of his terrific performances in recent times. He has participated in 21 events, winning four of them. In addition to that, he has also finished runner up and third once each.
The four-year-old gelding has been in dominant form over the past few months and he will be chasing a hat-trick of victories today.
