  1. Boating drunk is the same as Driving Drunk..... huge consequences!!  Call your local authorities and tell them about your concerns..... b/c you are exactly right, somebody is going to get severely hurt if this continues! Good luck and happy boating! :)

  2. Yes there is something you can do. Usually this is administered by the US Coast Guard and your state's Division of Watercraft. OPerating a vessel under the influence can add points to your diver's license, and carries stiff fines. I would stop by your local watercraft office (where you get your boat stickers) and say this appears to be a habit.

The next time you are outside, note the boat's registration number (found on the front bow, both sides). Also notethe color and mfg/model of the boat.

The next time he goes out, contact the appropriate state marina where the boat patrol is located. Give them the boat description. They can then wait for your neighbor's return.

Of course if you are on the ocean it gets hard, if you go out 2 mi then you are in international waters.

  3. Yeah, snap out of it Kdog....

911...Coast Guard...coasties will call Police if warranted.

Powdered icing sugar in their gas.

Dive and remove the cotter pin in their prop hub.

  4. USCG, county sheriff, State Marine Enforcement, some municipalities have jurisdiction.

Any L.E.O with arrest power will be happy to stop your problem.

  5. In many states, drunk boating ranks right up there with drunk driving.  Contact your local law enforcement, they should be able to steer you in the right direction.  The lake I use has federal wildlife enforcement officers who patrol the lake for just the reasons you mentioned, minus the crab pots of course.  Good Luck, be careful.

  6. Call the local law enforcement and if there is a Coast Guard station near you, report them to the coasties...

  7. Call 911 it's DUI There might be a water patrol> They will tell you>>

  8. Since it takes place in state waters you can call your local authorities. Since they are in a boat drunk, they are boating while intoxicated. The us coast guard can give them a (fst) field sobriety test. If they are indeed intoxicated they'll more and likely arrest and transfer their custody to the local authorities.
