  1. So, you just asked a question about 18-20 y/olds drinking on the ship==== are these the same people?

If you are underage and are obnoxious in a BAD way, yeah you'll be sent to the brig (isn't that what it's called?).  And if they are underage and caught causing a disturbance and are warned once and do it again they would probably be asked to disembark at the next port.

My suggestion is to keep an eye on these youngsters. Enforce a drink maximum or a curfew.

  2. It really depends on how bad the person is.  Normally they'd stop serving him before it's too bad, and he'd just be asked to go back to his room.

If the person becomes so obnoxious that other guests complain, or he commits a crime (e.g., assaults a security guard), the captain can and likely will force him to disembark at the next port and make his own way home (no refund).

BTW, if he's asked to stay in his cabin and he doesn't, he can also be thrown in the brig - a jail they have down below.  That's usually a precursor to being thrown off the ship.

  3. I was on the emerald last year and A Russian man was almost sent home. The captain decided eventually that he could stay if he behaved. He had smashed a large glass screen in his drunken state. He was confined to his cabin for two days. So you can be 'thrown' off the cruise at the next port. You would then have to make your own way home

  4. Maybe they throw them overboard hahaha

  5. I went on a cruise last year. I saw a few overly intoxicated individuals asked to please return to their room for the night. One man got obnoxious and starting cursing the employee out. Security was called and 3 beefy guys came and relocated the man to his room. I heard a rumor that he was barred from the bars. I don't know about any fines, though.

  6. The Captain can have passengers put off the ship for violating the cruise line's rules, including drunkenness.  This may include an entire group/family.  You would then be on your own to get home.

  7. excellent question!! I have no clue. I hope we see some real answers.

  8. Depends on HOW drunk they get. i used to run singles groups and they hit it pretty hard. None of them were asked to leave, in fact they LOVED the fact that they closed down the clubs every night--more $$$ for the cruise line.
