Drunken Thought, a surprise factor in Trackside Signage A1 525 at Shelbourne Park
Drunken Thought has been ignored by the bookmakers, but his chances of winning Wednesday’s Trackside Signage A1 525 are not less than anyone else at Shelbourne Park.
The black dog is full of spirit following his two terrific victories at Henlow. Although it is hard to build an opinion after T3 and T4 wins, one should not ignore his determination that he showed after a huge setback at the outset of his career.
Ardmayle Courier’s son started his journey with an A2 race over 525 yards. He could not do anything special on his debut, finishing fifth on the chart. After such an embarrassing defeat, the novice did not lose his confidence and kept doing the hard work.
He is coming back to the ring after a lot of preparations and despite the fact that the odds are not in his favour, the brave punters can take a chance on him.
Others in the line-up are: Tyrur Djokovic, Move Over Bono, Ushers Luke, Killinan Cool and Piercestown Buzz. The battle will begin at 21:55 (GMT). The champion hound will walk away with a cash prize worth €400.
Tyrur Djokovic looks to be the safest option for betting. The black dog is returning to this class after taking part in a few open races.
Although he tried his best, luck was not on his side and as a result, failed to do any damage. He was fifth in three of the previous four races.
Move Over Bono is currently struggling with his form. After winning a similar race at Shelbourne Park, the black dog travelled to different venues in search of a win, but failed terribly. Coming back to this venue might help him regain his momentum.
Ushers Luke is not in our shortlist. The black dog could not perpetuate his good work after winning an A3 event at the start of last month.
Stepping down to this class might give a push to Killinan Cool, but it will not be an easy task for him especially after a few terrible defeats.
Similar is the case with Piercestown Buzz, who was runner-up in his previous appearance at Shelbourne Park. We wish the best of luck to all runners.
