Question:

Dry, burning v***a for nine months. Help!?

I'm only 22 and for the last nine months I've had problems with burning and dryness on my v***a and a**s (there's dry, red skin that runs all the way up the natal cleft and always burns). I've been tested for all STD's and infections and even though doctors never find any yeast overgrowth, they always prescribe me yeast meds anyway. I've also eliminated all possible contact irritants (stop using soap down there, only cotton underwear, changed detergents, etc.) and still nothing. I recently went back to Planned Parenthood because I was wondering if I had Lichen Sclerorus, but the NP said it didn't look like I did, but that the outer layer looked really irritated so she prescribed me some steroid cream that I'm too scared to use because of side effects. It's been irritated down there for so long and now the skin on my outer labia looks really wrinkly (I know some just look like that, but mine didn't look like this at all before!!) and the skin seems looser and definitely less resilient than it used to be (like if I tugged on it, it wouldn't return to its former shape immediately, gross, I know). I did lose 30 lbs, so I don't know if that is related to the skin looseness and wrinkling - I am guessing it's more directly related to all of the irritation. It's really ugly and irritated and embarrassing. I feel like I've tried everything - is there much else I can do at this point? And if I figure out what is wrong with me, is this wrinkling reversible? Also - I never mentioned this to any of the doctors, but all of my symptoms started within a week of taking a lot of psychotropic mushrooms - could I have possible poisoned my body in some way that would cause such long-term physical problems (like some sort of hormonal imbalance)?

  1. You had better tell your Doctors. There is a mold in those shrooms that are deadly to some people. It may be causing the problem and you'll need to get blood tested to see where the concentration is. The steroid cream is safe and works on your problem but temporary. This often occurs on hands but in your case it is in a very sensitive area. Don't try to self treat this. See a Doctor and be honest, the won't yell at you or try to shame you.

  2. a dry v****a... what a shame

shrooms I don't think would do it, but maybe

btw, nearly all labia are wrinkly on the edges!
