Im 15 years old and i've always had very dry skin. Recently the problem has got alot worse. I have a red dry rash all over my body and my face is very dry and patchy. My kin is very sensitive and even soem of the doctors medicated creams are too strong and sting. Things like vaseline are great for my skin but not ideal for all over my body.

Any suggestions ?

  1. try using a sensitive Vaseline lotion with cooling aloe.

It won't make the skin more irritated and the aloe with sooth it.

And it can be used for your body and face.

        Hope i helped!

  2. Well, for starters, I would go to a dermatologist to get medical treatment for your skin. There are steroid creams that are less abrasive and harsh. Also, if you have eczema or another type of skin problem it should really be diagnosed.

I suffer from two really bad skin diseases, eczema, and LS, so here is some advice: Only wash with a mild soap like Dove for sensitive skin, make sure you are using dye free laundry soap like All brand free and clear (try to stay away from the concentrated kinds), make sure you stay away from dryer sheets as well, test your water if and make sure it isn't hard- there are water softener systems that are extremely helpful and last but not least stay away from any lotions that have coloring, dyes, and harsh smells.

I know it is really frustrating but, I don't think the vaseline lotions work as well as actual vaseline. If you need a certain lotion, try Eucerin cream- it is your best bet for over the counter care.

Good Luck and I hope you feel better!

  3. Once a week take a milk bath it will nourish and smoothen your skin. Mix two table spoons of milk powder in your bucket of water and use it for bathing and rinse with plain water in the end. There are many helpful tips to cure dry skin at  http://useinfo-dryskin.blogspot.com/

  4. dry skin can lead to development of eczema in severe cases.  that is why you need to keep the skin moist. to do this, you must first use an all natural skin care moisturizer that can be effective in locking in moisture to the skin.  since it is all natural, it will not have negative side effects on the skin.  you are maybe using product that is not effective on your skin type. all natural skin care works well for all skin types.

take care of your skin by having healthy habits and lifestyle. have proper diet, enough exercise and plenty of rest, sleep and relaxation to make the skin look good and healthy. avoid unhealthy habits like smoking and alcohol drinking for this can dry out the skin.  avoid long hot baths. be gentle with the skin, do not be abrasive and never rub it.
