Dry dish washing

My Kitchen Aid dishwasher has a problem of not having any water. This has happened a couple of times before but did not stay that way. It is a few years old, around 10 or so I estimate it to be.The model number is KVD123HBO , the V could be a U and the O could be a D in this number. I
