Hey.. i normally have normal skin, not dry, not oily just normal.. recently i purchased 3 different face scrubs.. 1 for blackheads, one general face scrub, and another for exfoliation.. (it was on offer so i got all 3). Anyway, i used them all twice a day, morning and night (So 6 scrubs a day) after about a week, my nose area and mouth area have become very very dry and flaky as if i have exfoliated TOO MUCH skin or something.. i've scut down to 1 scrub (so 2 applications a day) and apply moisturiser and bio-oil / vaseline onto the area.. and it covers it up well, but after a while the flakiness and dryness appears.. and it looks awful... how to i get my skin to return the way it used to.. tomorrow is my college enrollment and i'm getting my picture taken. :(

  1. yes this has happened to me, best thing to do is to lay off these for a while and stick to moisturisers,

but if it worsens, or is sore, i would see your doctor

  2. Just cut it down and make sure you moisturise a lot. If it persists go see your doctor, they have special creams for this sort of thing.

  3. don't use the scrubs until back to normal. I would say keep moisturizing your face and then go to the doctor. I bet that they will have a medical ointment that will treat it well. you can get gold bond lotion the one with seven moisturizers. It works amazingly. And for the picture, go to a hair salon that will do make up and explain your situation. I'm sure that they will have the right stuff to treat your skin and you can try it out and maybe buy it. and they will try to cover it up with some make up. I know that the one salon casal aveda institute is amazing. you should try it out. and don't use that scrub so much. it could damage your face [duh]. I hope it works!!!!

  4. You should only be doing a skin polish/scrub about every 4 days and that is just once on that day. You are over stimulating the skin.
