Hi, our lemon tree produces very dry fruit. When you squeeze it, the segments are very dry and fall out with not much juice. What can I do to improve the lemons? What can I feed the tree? I assume it's lacking something but don't know what to do! Help!

  1. When lemons are dry...rub them together...I'm sure that they will get wet...heheheheeeee

  2. do you live in queenland australia we have had not enough rain.

  3. it might be the type of lemon but it sounds like under watering. water a bit more often and also give it some miracle gro plant food. give plant food every 2 weeks

  4. In Australia we dig a round trench the same diameter as the canopy of the tree and when we water we only fill the trench it only has to be about 15cm deep it works very well and you don't need as much water

there is a citrus fertiliser you can buy that has every thing the trees need.I cant tell you when to use it because I don't know where you live

    good luck

  5. Water?

  6. When lemons are dry, with tough skins and thick connective tissues, it is usually a sign of excessive heat and drought. At my folks' house in California we used to joke that those were Arizona lemons. Try to amend the soil to make it moiture retentive, and next year, water often.
