Dry skin around my nose???

ok next to my nose its red and dry skin. Its been there since the beginning of summer. I have been putting toothpaste on it and its helped a little. Im about to go back to school in a couple of days and i want it to go away! Any good home remedies or face washes? Also if i touch it alot it gets more red! its also on the other side of my nose just not as much.

antisecptic cream is no good as it stings like mad do not want to use vas as its slimey in apperance what cream do you recommend i use that will not sting and reduce redness ?
