Question:

Dry socket problem?

I had a wisdom tooth pulled out more than 2 mths ago. Then I got a dry socket that was horrible. The Oral Surgeon had to change it a couple of times till it started to get better. Now of course there is no pain, but food still gets down in the hole. I really don't want to call my dr again because he was a real jerk to me when I was in pain. Is it normal for the socket to still be open and how long should I keep irrigating the socket? I'm scared I might cause it to open again if I try to flush it....
