Question:

Dryer, replaced drum felt and glides now not getting hot?

could i have accidentally disconnected something? what should i look for, it was working fine before i replaced the felt.

  1. Check to make sure you did not disconnect any wiring during felt replacement. Is gas or electric?If it is gas it sounds like no power to glow plug igniter


  2. All dryers have a door safety switch that shuts off the circuit to the heating element when the door is open. Since the front door assembly had to be removed for felt replacement, the safety switch should have been disconnected. Double check the connection to make sure it is fully seated.  Also, when you were raising the lid, the heat selector could have been accidently moved to "fluff" or "air" dry position. If all of the above are okay, the only thing left is the heating element itself, the high temp limit switches, or one side of the power cord has "opened". Instead of getting 220v to the element, if one side is open, then it will be only 110v and the element will not heat up.
