I usually hang dry my shirts that are 100% cotton or close to that and they don't shrink but.. I found the option on the dryer to dry with air only (no heat), if I put my shirts in the dryer with that cycle going, will they shrink? And does it take longer to dry the clothes without heat?

  1. It will take a lot longer without heat.  I use the lowest heat setting, but how hot "low" is probably depends on the dryer.  They only shrink when my mom is allowed near the dryer.  She sneaks over and turns up the heat to "make it go faster."

  2. They should not shrink.  I use the no-heat cycle all the time

  3. Yes I air dry all my clothes

Jeans and towels take about 3 hours

    T-shirts take about an hour

    No shrinking

They feel so much better air drying than hanging them

  4. With no heat they should not shrink but they do take significantly longer to dry.  It really isn't worth the energy to dry them in the dryer on the air setting.  Hang them up and they will be dry free of energy costs.
