Drying Garlic Bulbs?

When drying homegrown garlic bulbs and hanging it how do you hang it? (Which part goes up? The roots?)

  1. All plants that have a bulb

    have to be dried [up side down ]  with the leaves down in a well ventilated dry place.

  2. Just the bulbs (roots). Tear away the rest of the plant. Hang them up in a potato sack or something like that with holes in it. Hang them in the shade and in a dry place.

    EDit:  P.S...... don't forget to leave some of the roots (bulbs)  in the ground. They will come back up next spring, and you will have new garlic. If they are planted in a row...then dig  some, skip some, dig some, skip some. You will have a row next year.
