I weaned my baby 3 weeks ago, then pumped twice a day, then once a day, then 6 days ago I stopped all together. My breast still are full and tender, how long does this last? I thought is would only be a couple days...

  1. When I stopped pumping, it took a couple of weeks for my b*****s to feel reasonably normal.  One of my friends had to bind hers with Ace bandages to get through the first few weeks!  For me, a year later, I was still occasionally leaking little bits of milk - the doctor said this was normal, and he wouldn't be concerned until it had been 2 years!

  2. Try wearing a very tight sports bra and line your bra cups with cold green cabbage leaves.  When they are wilted put new ones in.  It helps to use a rolling pin to crush the spines so they fit in your bra better.  The leaves feel good and also some how do reduce your milk supply.  The tight pressure of the sports bra also helps.  Usually it takes a week or two but it will get better every day.

  3. I just went through this too after pumping for 3 months, It took two weeks and I still leak a little, like before I gave birth.  My b***s are still a little sore in some places but they are a lot better.  They will feel better soon.

  4. Well, in my personal experience, I only breastfed the colostrum, so it was for about 3 days.  The baby never even had any of my milk and it took 1 month until they were completely back to normal. Good luck hope my answer helps :)
