Drywall safe for sheetmulch garden?

Question

Hi is drywall sheetrock gyprock safe in layered garden to buffer pH and add calcium? Wikipedia turns up: gypsum, chelating agent (EDTA), plasticiser (lignosulfate), foaming agent, potash. Are these safe in a vegetable garden? Are they vegan? Can one tell if gyprock has paper of fibreglas? Thanks!
