i have AT&T DSL and it goes out constantly. Typically after storms. Turning teh phone on repeatedly works. Then the internet comes back on. What is the deal. I call in and they have these foreigners talking to me. The problem never gets fixed. If its a simple fix, I'll do it myself. Thanks

  1. I think you guys need to try comcast highspeed internet instead. The problem with dsl is that, if water gets in the phone line you're going to have static and this can drastically affect your internet connection. If the faulty line is at your house, be prepared to pay hundreds of dollars to get new lines installed. But with cable; it doesn't even matter if water gets in the line, you'll always have the internet up and running. The only way internet service is interrupted, is if they are working on the line in your area or they disconnected your service. These interruptions have never yet happened to me and i've been using them non-stop for over 4 years without any problems. Also with comcast you will be talking to someone who speak english and is local. So make the switch and be happy!

  2. ive experience your problem too. there were always constant problems with the stupid internet right? it goes on and off. then when you call, the customer service person gives you the dumbest instructions and it worked for like 5 minutes and it breaks agian. im sorry but you cant do anything about it. my mom got fed up and just switched to comcast. i guarantee youll be satisfied with comcast, its fast and very reliable. consider it, because it might save you some high blood pressure, if it makes you angry like it does to me..lol =]
