Do you have any ideas? Additional information, I have checked individual jacks with various phones. I have had all of the phones unplugged, and plugged one in at a time... Nothing works. The only thing that IS working is my dsl internet connection which is on the same line.

  1. they told me to unplug everything (phnes n dsl modem) n if ur phones r wireless u need to disconnect them from the electrical plug. n dont connect anything back until 10-15mins have passed it worked for me

  2. DSL is on your phone line?

Shouldn't be. Thats what DSL is... a dedicated cable connection to the internet... not dial-up.

If your phone has no dial-tone its a phone issue...

nothing to do with your DSL.

    Call the phone company.

  3. you have to put a filter on the phones, there should have been some with the self install kit from the provider, if you received one from them anyway.

  4. DSL operates on your telephone line but independent from the voice service on the line. Depending on how voice service is delivered to your home, it is very possible the DSL might work and telephone wouldn't. This is far more information than you asked for, but, for example, it's likely your telephone line doesn't connect directly to the telephone office, but rather, connects via a SLIC cabinet. In that same SLIC may be a DSLAM -- if the SLIC (a card in the cabinet) is malfunctioning, it's still possible the DLS is working ('cause the DSLAM and the electronics that deliver your voice service are likely separate).

I'd call the phone company and tell them your line is out,  that you "can't call and and can't be called".
