  1. Don't check any of the review sites because they started earning some money through their positive reviews!!!Just check for the specifications and some negative comments!!!I am i guy with Canon DSLRs kiss2 or x2 (in japan it is kiss2,USA x2),50d,Nikon D300,Ricoh GRII and my best scenery Point shot SLR mix camera Sigma DP1.If you are rich go for Nikon D3 or D300 for less money. If you want ok one with good picture quality,New Canon X2 and Nikon D60 are kind of similar. It is  up to you.If you like bigger screen and more pixels,Canon is good for you.If you like smaller body,Nikon is the one.If you want what fits in your hand just hold them and feel the camera.Because in photography feeling is everything...My recommendation is Canon Kiss or X2.For a starter it is perfect. It's DIGICIII processor is the best in its kind...Good luck.

  2. Neither is better ... they are both the makers of the currently best pro DSLR's.

Which is better for your style of shooting, only you can know, so you will have to go into a camera store and hold each in your hand and see which works the best for you.

They are both at the top of the heap when it comes to quality.

Remember, it is the 12 inches behind the camera that assures quality and well composed and exposed images, not the camera ... it is only a tool.

For what others thought of their purchases, look at the JD Power ratings for DSLR cameras, under electronics, digital cameras, DSLR's

  3. Go to a camera store and try each one out. There is no "better" one, as you put it. See which one fits your hand (and wallet) best.

Also, don't neglect products from Olympus, Pentax and Sony. They make very capable cameras.

  4. They are both really great cameras. As to which is better, there's no way to say because they're both really great companies.

If you had any old Canon cameras (35mm, Digital, etc,) you almost always can interchange the lenses, so if you have any Canon lenses lying around, get the Canon and save money. I'm assuming you don't have any, so I would just go with whatever feels more comfortable to hold and carry and is in your price range.

  5. i worked with a canon rebel all year and loved it.  we occasionally had problems with the memory card, but formatting it before we started usually fixed the problem.

it was easy to use and to learn about and the picture quality was amazing.

i've never worked with a nikon, but i think a lot of being "better" just has to do with personal preference.

  6. Nikon Rulz!  Canon feels like cheap piece of plastic in hand.  Nikon feels better built.  If U pick up camera in hand, U will see this.

Pictures same with Canon and Nikon, but Nikon less money and not so cheap feeling.

    U get a D80 or D60, U will see.

Why Fhotoace always talk about his 12 inches?
