Dts Hd Master Audio?

Hello my set up consists of the onkyo SR605 receiver the kef 3005se speakers and 1080p lcd. hdmi cables connected from blu ray player and ps3 to amp then hdmi out to tv. The problem i have is i can not select dts hd master audio on the amp. I have fantastic 4 rise of the silver surfer which has dts hd master audio capabilites but not sure how to get the amp to decode it.

If anyone can give me a step by step in to getting this to work would really appreciate it..

Do i need to use a 7.1 speaker set up or can i use 5.1 to obtain the dts hd m/a setting...Please help!!!!!!!!!

I've got a 5.1 speaker home cinema system and that plays DTS soundtracks with no problem.

It sounds as if your Onkyo isn't "seeing" a DTS output from the PS3.  You will need to check the setup menu on the PS3, to make sure it is outputting the DTS signal.

The amp won't play a DTS soundtrack if the PS3 isn't sending a DTS signal for it to decode.
