DuPage Airport getting ready for the 2012 Ryder Cup
The preparations for the most prestigious event, the Ryder Cup 2012 are underway. The Medinah Country Club in suburban Chicago is going to be the venue for this auspicious event. The event tees off on the 28th of September and ends on the 30th
of September.
The Elite golfers from all over the world are going to contend for victory. For this particular tournament many arrangements have to be made.
The main hub for this event is going to be the DuPage Airport. The golfers and the thousands of fans are going to arrive at this airport before the tournament starts.
Among other preparations, DuPage Airport is also preparing for the spectators arrival. The airport is expecting a huge crowd when the best golfers in the world arrive from the U.S. and Europe. The spectators and the reporters would also be arriving in huge
numbers.
The Executive Director of DuPage Airport, David Bird said, “Our Flight Center has been working closely with the PGA and the Ryder Cup planners to provide a full service transportation hub for the best golfers in the world and the crowds and media that are
expected to attend”.
“The airport has the state-of-the-art facilities and professional staff to handle this major international sporting event,” he added.
Bird also said that the airport staff is going to be dedicated to ensure a stress free and smooth experience for the travelers “including full on-site customs, liaison with transport and lodging, and 24/7 concierge service,”.
“We look forward to welcoming those participating in the Ryder Cup and invite them to return for a future trip”.
The tournament includes many big names. The team America includes Davis Love III, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and recent Masters Cup winner Bubba Watson.
On the other hand the European team includes stars like Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald and Lee Westwood. Last year, the Ryder Cup was bagged by the European team and this year, they would be looking to defend the title.
This is going to be one of the most anticipated tournaments of the year. It will be thrilling to see which team emerges triumphant in the end.
