  1. In AR where we live, you can go to any community college you wish.  Call the school you are interested in and ask to be sure but I think if you pay your own tuition they take anyone.  Where you live might affect a scholarship but call and ask.

  2. You can even take online classes from another state!  Just check the schools accredidation.  That is important that it is recognized by other colleges and states.  You can do alot of colleges online for dual credit or even college credit.   Contact several colleges that you would consider going to in the future to get your degree and ask them if they recognize work from dual credit community college.

Are you going to physically go to the community college or take courses online?

You can contact local colleges and ask them specificly if they offer dual credit and wether it transfers to other colleges:http://www.officialusa.com/stateguides/e...

  3. I would think you can find some answers on the HSLDA website for NC.

The following I got from this link from the HSLDA website and from that little paragraph It looks like you should be able to dual enroll in any community college, even from another county.

    http://www.hslda.org/laws/analysis/North...

"College Admissions for Homeschoolers: North Carolina House Bill 746 (1997), which was passed by the General Assembly and signed into law by the Governor, directed the University of North Carolina Board of Governors to review the University’s admissions procedures, practices and requirements regarding applicants from home schools in compliance with North Carolina law. This states that the University policy must “not arbitrarily differentiate between applicants based upon whether the applicant attended a public or a lawfully operated nonpublic school.”"

  4. well  your home schooled so you should go to community collage because if you  don't have prove of going to high school they might not let you in collage in another

  5. I would contact the community college you would like to attend and talk to someone who is familiar with dual enrollment. At our community college, sometimes we get conflicting information dependening on who we talk to.

Ask for someone that's familiar with the college's policies regarding dual enrollment. Add the homeschool information in last. Sometimes that confuses people.

All K-12 students have to have a note signed by the principal (that would be your parent if you are homeschooled) and K-8th graders have to get a form signed by the instructor for the course.

To find good instructors check with http://www.ratemyprofessors.com

I prefer for my children to meet the instructor ahead of time anyway to see if they are "dual-enrollment friendly". It's not worth a fight with so many instructors available.

    Best of Luck!

  6. Sometimes if you're duel enrolling, the college wants you to be homeschooling in the county that they're in, but not always. Call up the admissions office of the college you want to duel enroll in and ask them.
