Dual Greek-US Citizenship?

Question

I was Born in the US to First Generation Greek-Americans. I want to obtain Dual Citizenship without having to serve in the Hellenic Armed Forces. Being 6'6" tall, I really don't fit in a crowd well. I'm also a Basketball/Soccer prospect, so would that interfere with a club signing me? Would there be any way to avoid military time at all?
