Question:

Dual Military as Warrant Officers??

I plan to re-enlist into the Army after finishing my degree next summer. I previously served 4 years enlisted. My husband has been enlisted for 9 years, and plans to go Warrant as well. I previously wanted to go in as an officer, but changed my mind, Warrant Officer fits me better.

Anyway, I know that the Married Army Couples Program can be difficult no matter the two, even if we were both enlisted. I heard it's worse if one is enlisted and one is an officer. If both of us are Warrant Officers would this somehow improve our chances of being at the same posts? Would it hurt our chances?

I know there's always going to be some separation, we've been a part of the military long enough to know that. I just want to know to what degree besides deployments, should we expect the separations to be as far as regular duty station assignments.

  1. It depends upon what warrant you are going for. If you are both trying to be flight warrants, then it will be really easy to get you both assigned to the same unit. If you are going for warrant in your MOS field, then it may be a bit harder. Warrants are not very common. Your best bet will be to try and get stationed at a large post where there is a wide range of units. (i.e. bragg, drum, hood, etc. )
