??Dual Sport/Purpose Motorcycle??

Question

Can two aduats ride on a dual sport motorcycle, not for long distances, but for short trips?

I would think a KLR650 could handle Two just fine but not comfortably.

Yes.  I did it with my Honda XL350.  I weighed about 135 and she weighed 115.  Handling wasn't great, but it was workable.

Sure, if you mean the average 650, not so sure, but still doable on the smaller yamahas (200/250 cc.)

Haven't you seen pictures of a motorcycle in Cairo with  their entire family, and three goats on a 125?  Practice makes perfect though.  

Put a couple of 90 lb bags of concrete/cement mix, on the back, strap it down tight.  Take it for a spin, pretty hard isn't it?

Aside from the extra weight, you have more work to do, keeping it upright, and to make it worse, manufacturers are making stepped seats all over the place.  A stepped seat makes it so much more effort. High up the extra weight has some weird behavior

yes they are fine at 2 up riding I've done it many times on a Honda XL250cc enduro or dual sport bike,doing both on and off road riding
