Question:

Dual citizenship?

I am a U.S. citizen, and all of my parents and grandparents are from the U.S., but none of my great-grandparents were born here. I want to get dual citizenship with another nation, so in case something bad happens here, I will have somewhere to turn to. I am Jewish, so Israeli citizenship would be quite easy to get, but I do not want to serve in the Israeli army, and Israeli citizens have to spend 3 years in the army. My ancestors were Belarusians, Ukrainians, Romanians, Russians, and Austrians. None of those countries would allow me to become a citizen, because they only recognize origin when it is from a parent, and for Ukraine, they do not recognize dual. HELP! Where can I get dual citizenship in. I am not moving, but I want dual, just in case. I will learn another language, if I have to.

  1. ok look

i am an israeli jewish citizen and i can tell you this i dont know how old u r but if u r over 40 u do not have to serve in the israeli army now if u r younger then there is a list of years i cant really remember it but its not that much.

now remeber as a jewish u can allways aquire israeli citizenship its a super fast appliction.

so if u c that something bad is going on u can just walk into the israeli embassy/consulute prove that u r jewish they will look at your papers inspect them and grant u citizenship.

  2. You cannot have dual citizenship.  You would have to move and live somewhere else for an extended period to qualify.

I have to say that you are a bit pathetic.  Instead on trying to weasel you way out, why don't you work and make sure that the US stays the great place that it is.  I am sure that your great-grandparents contributed and ensured that there children had a better life that they did, as most immigrants do.
