  1. Multiple Cores ! It would be interesting to know the percentage of people that have got them but really need them.

For example I have a 2.4ghz Pentium 4, it does everything and at speed. I could possibly see the advantage of a Dual Core, but Quad Core complete overkill, unless you are heavily into gaming.

    LUg.

  2. Since its a laptop and im guessing you wont be using it to play like crysis, get the Dual Core.

Quad core is only good in intense games where the 4 cores are an advantage.

But if you just runing normall applications no difference, unless you run like 4 conversions at the same time :P

Anyway, try to get one with a fast speed, 2.4ghz up is good :D

  3. Intel's Core 2 Quad mobile processors have just been announced.  It won't be long until it is available.  Personally, I think you should just go with dual core over quad.  Unless you are doing something that really requires a quad core processor, such as 3D graphics rendering, don't get a quad.

  4. Do you NEED four cores?  If not, go dual.

  5. quad core is faster! so, no "slow vista" anymore and you can run 3 OS at same time (because of speed) !
