  1. as i british expat living in dubai atm i can tell u so far my experience has been great. ive only been here for 8 years but what i can say firstly is that the "okness" depends on what your occupation is. should you be working in finance then its great and it will be wonderful. the apartments are great and the standard of living in some areas is much better overall than in some areas of britain and the UK. you should also absolutely adore the weather! its wonderful out here if you love the sun, although it may get stuffy in the summer there is the air conditioning. the social life is also great as you have the arabs culture such as shisha alongside the wetsernised clubs too. hope this helps!

  2. If you're a white-skin living in Dubai, you'll be treated like God and you'll be able to get away with ANYTHING. Being from the western world, it goes without saying that you'll be paid very, very, very, very well (by default), whether you deserve it or not. The whole lifestyle of Dubai is defined the way the white expats want it to be.

So basically .... YOU should not have ANY concerns. Ironically, if you're a brown/black-skin hailing from UK/Europe, you'll be treated like all other non-whites are.

  3. U will like it if you like having anything handed to you by underpaid indians. The richer you are there the more fun you will have. I loved it

  4. yees

    its really really lovely there

in june& july its about 44 degrees

    great weather too

  5. yes its a very ok place to live and work.

  6. It's a great place to live and work and everything is cheaper but you need to be secure with your employer/sponsor.

I lived there for 5 years and had a fantastic time.  But beware, althoughthere is no income tax, there are lots of licence/other fees which amount to the same thing.  Even the locals are starting to say that rather than exhorbitant fees/licences a flat rate of tax of 5% or even 10% would be better.
