Why is dubai bent on world domination? Are they looking to control the world someday? Tallest building (Burj Dubai), Biggest Amusement park (Dubailand), Biggest Mall, etc. Does any of this somewhat scare you?

  1. Dubai isn't dominating the world it just wont give up on being the top of he world and the most famous tourism target in history.

besides you haven't seen everything yet there is the most expensive arch-shaped bridge, the biggest airport in the world, metro Dubai, The 8th wonder of the world the world island, palm island and Mohammad Bin Rashed the president of Dubai (not the president of the UAE since Dubai is not the capital) says its only 10% of his vision

(what a visionary, what a mastermind)

  2. I know very little of Dubai.  However, I do know it's a lot more advanced than people think.

  3. Scare me?  I think it's hilarious.  These twits will spend $15 million for the right to buy the lowest-numbered license plate in their ridiculously tiny 'empire'.  I'll be laughing when their monuments to excess collapse under their own weight.

  4. a bunch of towel heads.  and no you idiot, they are not looking for world domination.  they are just looking for money.  they sell oil that america found for them, make trillions of dollars, and then start producing popular attractions with all their money, NOT military.  how the h**l do you think they are bent on world domination? thats the stupidest hypothesis ive ever heard.  The only dominating thing they will be doing is banning jews from their theme parks.

  5. OK let me get this straight. Dubai is in the Middle East, and its an Arab city. Arabs have recently been pathetic at contributing anything to the world, besides black fuel. They have been some of the most incompetent people in the world, except central Africa. Now we have Dubai, an oil rich city-state which wants to succeed beyond that dreaded dependance, which will not tolerate lottery-style squander. They have ambition, and they need to prove themselves to the world that they are serious business (no pun intended), so they are simply doing these things to become more competitive in this world, and I don't blame them. They want tourism, commerce, and services for their economy, and they aspire to become one of the major cities of the world.

  6. i have been to dubai and they are not world dominators but a country with ambition.

my friends dad was manager of the worlds only 7 star hotel and that was in dubai and he certainly wasnt a dominator but he was a man with ambition.
