Question:

Dubai - and dealing with recruitment consultants?

My husband is attempting to find work in Dubai via 3 or 4 Dubai recruitment consultancies (some very well known). He is at the top of his profession, the right age and meets all the skills requirements asked for, for the type of job he is seeking. His expertise is in finance/construction - so there is a definite call for people like him to work in Dubai. Trouble is, he seems to be getting nowhere with the recruitment people. We know that at this time of the year in Dubai, everything seems to slow down (high summer). But he seems to be at the mercy of these agents who hardly bother to reply to his calls and emails - and he is worth a huge commission.

I'd be interested to know if anyone else has faced this problem with recruitment consultants/agents and if they found a way around the problem. Thank you.

  1. Unfortunately, that's the way it is in Dubai. You will find it soon enough when you actually moved to Dubai. There's no service quality per say. You don't really benefits from the amount of money you spent for a particular service.

Although vacancies are high in dubai (you can check daily at this websites www.gnads4u.com), there are a lot of workforce in Dubai (most are useless as they only after for short term gain).

    Good luck with your venture.
